I've already granted a couple of extensions, but if you haven't reached out to me about needing one and you think you may need one, please let me know ASAP.

If you have not reached out to me by the deadline and I don't have an assignment turned in from you, it will be an automatic default and your assignment will go out for a pinch hit.

Also, a gentle reminder: while your gift may have chapters, the entire gift must be complete and posted by the time works are revealed on the 17th.

The deadline approaches

Gifts are due in about two days. (August 10th 11:59 PM Anywhere On Earth (what time is it for me?))

If you don't think you're going to make the deadline, please let me know as soon as you can so we can discuss an extension or find a pinch hitter for your assignment.

Anyone who has not reached out to me in some way by the time the deadline hits, your assignment will automatically default and go to the pinch hit list.

If you will be finished apart from editing, then that's fine. You can continue to edit and tweak your gifts until the reveal date on August 17th.

Treats

If you are finished with your gifts, you might consider creating treats for other recipients!

You can find the request summary here on AO3.

Treats can be written all the way up until the author reveal date on August 24th, so you have plenty of time. Just make sure to make the gift part of the collection (so it will stay anonymous until the author reveal) and gift it to the appropriate person.

Treats to not have to follow the minimum requirements and can include edits, playlists, etc., but they must still abide by the recipients DNWs.

Hello, everyone! We’re about 2 weeks into our 6 week writing period. I hope everyone’s pens, brushes, and other writing utensils are being mightier than their worries and that ideas are flowing easily!

Just a reminder that if you have any questions about how things work for the exchange, you are welcome to send an ask to the exchange tumblr or use the queries post pinned to this community or email us a pingxie-exchange@hotmail.com. This also goes for if you’re unclear about something in your recipient’s sign-up and would like clarification or more information. I am always happy to email your recipient on your behalf if you need something clarified, particularly a DNW.

Please take care of yourselves, and I hope you’re having fun! ^_^

Please check the email address attached to the AO3 account you signed up with. If you have not received an email, you can look on AO3 under “Assignments” in your dashboard to find your assignment. If you do not find your assignment in either place, please contact the mods as soon as possible.

We will reveal the requests summary sometime early next week so that you may begin planning treats, as well, if you would like to.

Hi and welcome to the Pingxie Exchange: a fic & art exchange about the Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling pairing.

In this exchange, participants will be anonymously matched to create gifts for one another during a five week creation period. The gifts will be revealed on August 17th: the day Wu Xie welcomed Xiaoge back after his 10-year-long absence behind the Bronze Gate.

This exchange is open to all the DMBJ canons (adaptations featuring Wu Xie or Xiaoge and the original novels). It will take place on AO3, so you need an AO3 account to participate--if you don’t have one, you can request it here; if there isn’t enough time, no worries - contact the mods at pingxie-exchange@hotmail.com, on DreamWidth, or on tumblr, and we can send you an invitation!
